  • Ecological Economics Student Group - A graduate student organization that hosts the weekly Environmental Policy Roundtable.
  • Emerging Green Builders - The Emerging Green Builders at the University of Maryland represents a coalition of students intent on learning about and promoting sustainable design and building practices. The group also hosts study sessions to prepare for the LEED exam.
  • Engineers Without Borders - a student chapter of a national nonprofit organization (EWB-USA) that partners with developing communities to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable, and economical engineering projects.

  • Society for Green Business - The Society for Green Business is a SUSA-recognized club within the Robert H. Smith School of Business open to students enrolled in ALL majors and programs. Our goal is to promote sustainable business values by introducing students to new and innovative ways in which businesses have adopted green practices, encouraging students to value environmental concerns and advocating green measures at the university.
  • Student Sustainability Committee - The Student Sustainability Committee, part of the Student Government Association (SGA), is a group of undergraduate students who are looking to hold the university accountable to its committment to become sustainable. Additionally the council will provide the opportunity for any undergraduate student to propose project ideas that they feel will make the campus a more livable and sustainable community.

  • UMD for Clean Energy - a group working to influence state and national environmental policy as well as campus policy. Above all, the focus is engaging students in sustainability and activism on our campus.
