American Forests is protecting and restoring some of United State’s most important and fragile native forests and expanding tree canopy in cities across the nation. American Forests has been protecting and restoring forests for more than 140 years and is the oldest national conservation organization.They have planted nearly 60 million trees in forest restoration projects in all 50 states and worked in dozens of cities across America, expanding tree canopy and improving the quality of life for residents.
These projects recover hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, safeguard vital watersheds, absorb millions of tons of greenhouse gases and protect some of the most stunning landscapes in America. At the same time, American Forests is using trees and greenspace to make communities more sustainable, beautiful and livable.
