Our global fight against the climate crisis is far from over. The University of Maryland will accelerate its goal to become a net carbon-neutral campus by 2025. It is my hope that these measures will help inspire every one of us to commit to the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions for our planet and for our people.
ESG ConferenceThe Center for Social Value Creation is hosting our second annual ESG Conference at the Robert H. Smith School of Business on Friday, December 9th from 1pm to 6pm EST. |
Climate and MigrationThe Center for Global Migration Studies will be hosting a half-day symposium on Migration and Climate on November 9th at the Stamp Student Union. We hope you would consider joining us. The event is free and open to the public. The first panel begins at 12:30 pm; the keynote address will begin at 3:00 pm. Speakers at the event will consider how climate change has contributed to migration around the globe in the past and in our contemporary world. A flyer is attached. |
