Clean Energy & Education Intern
Abbey is a junior majoring in Information Science with a minor in Sustainability Studies. As the Office of Sustainability’s first Clean Energy Education Intern, they will enhance resources, outreach, and digital content to engage the campus community in clean energy planning and progress, with the goal of increasing student knowledge and involvement in Maryland’s clean energy future.
They have previously served as an Energy and Utilities Intern for the Department of Residential Facilities at UMD and as an Environmental Communications Intern for the Alice Ferguson Foundation. This fall, Abbey will also continue interning with Clean Water Action and the Global Terps for a Greener Future Collective.
On campus, they are an Energy and Environmental Policy Federal Fellow and President of External Affairs for oSTEM. In their free time, Abbey enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with friends and family.
