Kemisola Benson

SustainableUMD Ambassador

Kemisola Benson is a sophomore at the University of Maryland. She is majoring in chemical engineering with hopes of specializing in a career in the renewable energy sector. Her ultimate goal is to research ways of chemically optimizing the storage of sustainably produced energy to ensure demand is met around the clock. Some of her sustainability interests include intersectional environmentalism, green energy infrastructure, and environmental policy. In her free time, she likes to skateboard, read, hang out with friends, swim, and educate others about environmental issues. She aims to improve the habits of UMD community members toward the environment’s well-being.
