Nikitha Katanguri

Nikitha is a sophomore pursuing the physiology and neurobiology specialization under the biological sciences major. She is interested in conducting environmental research on water quality issues, inspired by her recent summer internship at the UMD WOW Lab where she assisted with DNA extraction from bacterial samples collected from the Potomac River. She hopes to use her experiences as a SustainableUMD ambassador to communicate with UMD students about campus sustainability initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, making art, and hiking.
