Earth Month is commemorated each April to honor the sustainable achievements of the previous year and promote sustainability on campus at UMD. Events are held throughout the month to encourage participation in local and global sustainable action. Join us in #DoingGood this April and attend some of the Earth Month events hosted on campus and in the local College Park community.

Professional Clothing Swap

Friday, April 19th 2pm-5pm

Join the Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) for a professional clothing swap at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center! If you’re looking for an outfit for that next interview or job, stop by and shop around with us. We ask that all participants bring a professional clothing item to donate and give back to the drive in exchange for something new to walk away with. All items left at the end of the event will then be donated to A Wider Circle.

Building Hope is a podcast created by students and graduates of the UMD school of Architecture, Planning, & Preservation. Partially funded by a Sustainability Fund grant, the Building Hope podcast seeks to encourage optimism amongst young people in regards to the current environmental crisis.

The Farmer's Market is Back

The weekly Farmer's Market in Tawes Plaza will be returning on April 3rd for the spring semester. The market will be hosted from 11:00am - 3:00pm each Wednesday for the remainder of the semester. Join the Office of Sustainability on April 3rd, for a coffee chat, and on April 17th, for an office plant giveaway. We can't wait to see you there!
