Fast Fashion Webinar
Wednesday, April 27, 2022 4-5pm
SustainableUMD will be hosting a hybrid webinar on fast fashion on zoom, streamed on youtube and at the H.J Patterson Global Atrium. The webinar will feature April Auger, who is the founder of AllAwear with a mission of promoting ethically and socially responsible fashion among modern women.
Fast Fashion is a method of manufacturing and marketing focused on rapidly producing high volumes of clothing, which has its fair share of socio-economic-environmental issues such as excessive water consumption, enormous waste generation, carbon emission, and human rights issues. April will then conduct a presentation on how one could shop more ethically, which will be followed by a Q & A session. All are welcome to this discussion on the socio-economic-environmental impact of the fash fashion industry and sustainable solutions.
