Our global fight against the climate crisis is far from over. The University of Maryland will accelerate its goal to become a net carbon-neutral campus by 2025. It is my hope that these measures will help inspire every one of us to commit to the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions for our planet and for our people.

The Office of Solid Waste and Recycling in Facilities Management has been diligently working for the past two years to expand campus compost collection and the fruits of their efforts are in full bloom. |
Department of Resident Life completes another successful Trash to TreasureThis May, the Department of Resident Life completed their 6th annual Trash to Treasure campaign. The program provides University of Maryland students the opportunity to donate unwanted, gently used items to Goodwill during spring move out. During this year’s efforts, a total of 11,520 pounds of goods were collected for donation. |
Spring Fest 2017 Dumpster Painting CompetitionThe University of Maryland Fraternity and Sorority Life community once again held their annual Spring Fest Dumpster Painting Competition. Congratulations to the first place winners from Alpha Delta Phi and Alpha Delta Pi. Second place honors went to Alpha Tau Omega and Gamma Phi Beta. |
