  • ESG Conference

    The Center for Social Value Creation is hosting our second annual ESG Conference at the Robert H. Smith School of Business on Friday, December 9th from 1pm to 6pm EST.

  • Climate and Migration

    The Center for Global Migration Studies will be hosting a half-day symposium on Migration and Climate on November 9th at the Stamp Student Union. We hope you would consider joining us. The event is free and open to the public.  The first panel begins at 12:30 pm; the keynote address will begin at 3:00 pm. Speakers at the event will consider how climate change has contributed to migration around the globe in the past and in our contemporary world. A flyer is attached.

  • A Conversation with First Year Book Contributor Favianna Rodriguez

    All University of Maryland students, faculty and staff are cordially invited to attend Ms. Rodriguez is an interdisciplinary artist, cultural strategist and social justice activist.

    Sustainability is a topic that spans multiple fields and disciplines. Come hear from BIPOC professionals and University of Maryland alumni who have pursued careers in sustainability across a variety of industries.   • Walk Maryland Day

    Did you know that walking is the State of Maryland's official exercise? In honor of walking, I'm writing to send word of Walk Maryland Day at UMD. Walk Maryland Day is part of Walktober. During Walktober, we are encouraged to collectively rally around walking as an activity that is both central to the state’s active transportation efforts and a critical component promoting public wellbeing.

  • Clean the Earth Challenge

    Are you planning a campus clean-up event this fall?   Please join the National Wildlife Federation and the University of Maryland Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in the Clean Earth Challenge and help us collect ONE MILLION pieces of trash that litter our lands, oceans, and waterways! Be a part of the Clean Earth Challenge!  

  • AGNR Cornerstone Event

    Join thought leaders from across academia, industry, and government for AGNR's 4th annual Cornerstone event on Wednesday, October 12 at The Stamp Student Union. This year’s event will celebrate and build partnerships around the college’s strategic initiative: Optimize Urban Environments through Green Design, Technology, and Community Engagement.
