During this time, H.J. Patterson’s Global Crossroads Atrium served as the hub for the international and environmental communities at the university.

To help determine how much freshwater is stored in snow, a team of NASA-funded researchers is creating a computer-based tool that simulates the best way to detect snow and measure its water content from space.     U.S. Beekeepers lost more than 40% of their honey bee colonies this past year, according to the latest annual nationwide survey conducted by the UMD-led nonprofit Bee Informed Partnership.  Read More
